Magnetic
One instrument that utilise the use of magnetic system is the magnetic resonance imaging. For example in the field of medicine, MRI is a medical imaging technique most commonly used to visualise the structure and function of the body. MRI provides detailed images of the body in any plane. A greater contrast is provided between the different soft tissues of the body than CT or computed tomography scan does. Thus MRI is especially useful in neurological or brain, oncological or cancer, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular imaging. With the use of radiofrequency fields, the alignment of this magnetisation is systematically altered and this causes the hydrogen nuclei to produce a rotating magnetic field detectable by the scanner.
