Flexible Circuits
Flexible circuits refer to pattern of conductors created on a bendable film, which act as insulating (dielectric) base materials. The coating of the top is a dielectric cover layer, thus a flexible circuit is a pliable counterpart to a rigid printed circuit board. To enable a more rapid construction of a device rather than their ability to turn and twist in normal operation, flexible circuits, or “flex circuits,” are usually needed. A technology for building electronic circuits by depositing electronic devices on flexible substrates like plastic, flexible electronics or flex circuits can be possibly made with the utilisation of the same components used for rigid printed circuit boards. The only thing that needs to change is the substrate, being made flexible, rather than rigid.
